Changda Ma
Changda Ma received a architecture professional degree —“Master of architecture" from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2024 and " Bachelor of Architecture” degree in China in 2022. He is currently studying for a Master of Science in Architecture (High Performance Building) at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Graduate Student - Georgia Institute of Technology
As for his research direction of music technology, he focuses on exploring the relationship among urban or architecture spaces, music or sound and human perception. His research explores the impact of ambient sound and noise on human perception in different urban or architecture space and urban environments, which is committed to achieving a therapy effect by optimizing ambient sound. Besides, In virtual space achieved by VR and AR, he explores the mutiple spatial forms and spatial sounds through the interaction between people's perceptions or behaviors and sound or music, so as to achieve the optimal solution for spatial sound and space design based on predictive models of human perception and behavior.
His research focuses on three areas: “urban sound theory system”, “human soundscape” and “human spatial sound”. These results are expected to provide a new scientific basis for the construction of sustainable cities and also bring new insights into the way people interact with sound in future space systems.
